WELCOME TO BLUE ROCKS CAFE & GRILL
Where great food and warm hospitality meet, between the Tsitsikamma forest and the pristine sea in the heart of Nature’s Valley.

ABOUT US
Welcome to Blue Rocks Cafe & Grill, your friendly spot in the heart of Nature’s Valley.
We are just a short stroll from the beach, close to the pristine lagoon, and near scenic hiking trails like the Salt River Hike and the endpoint of the Otter Trail, surrounded by beautiful indigenous forest.
Founded in 2022 by Melisa Clayton Allardice, we’re passionate about good food made from scratch using the best local, organic ingredients whenever possible - like free-range chicken, fresh seafood, and seasonal veggies. Our menu offers everything from wood-fired pizzas and juicy burgers to tasty curries and vibrant salads, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices.
We’re proud to be family- and dog-friendly, with an outdoor playground for the kids to enjoy while you relax.
Open 7 days a week, all year round, Blue Rocks Cafe & Grill is here to welcome you for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
For special events or receptions, please contact us - we’d love to help make your occasion memorable.
Come for the food, stay for the warm, genuine hospitality - and enjoy everything Nature’s Valley has to offer.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
At Blue Rocks Cafe & Grill, we are committed to sustainability through thoughtful ingredient choices and practices. We strive to source fresh seafood from the area and use locally grown vegetables, along with free-range chicken, eggs and fresh milk from nearby farms. We also compost our food waste, with scraps going to local pigs, contributing to a closed-loop system.
Thank you for supporting us and the small, sustainable farmers and fisheries that help make our ethical sourcing possible.
SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY
We believe in giving back to the community that supports us.
Blue Rocks Cafe & Grill is a proud partner of the Kurland School Project, which has been helping Crags Primary School for over 20 years by providing extra teachers to reduce class sizes. Many of our team members’ children benefit from this improved learning environment.
To support this cause, we regularly host second-hand book sales at the cafe, with all proceeds going directly to the project to help fund their initiatives.
We’re also proud to collaborate with the Nature’s Valley Trust, a local conservation organisation dedicated to protecting the valley’s natural beauty and biodiversity. By hosting their talks and community events, we help support their environmental education, conservation, and outreach efforts — fostering a stronger connection between people and the environment we share.
Thank you for helping us support our community and protect the beauty of Nature’s Valley.
